1969s penny looks weird

    Some machine doubling, but nothing special.

    Agreed, and quite commonly found on this date/mint.

    Seriously Anthony, if you found the hoped-for variety, you wouldn't have to ask but would know it. Kudos for trying, but this one really is that obvious.

    But the doubling isn't like the real one on the inside curl of the 969 part of the date , looks more like mechanical doubling. If you can get a sharper photo it would help. Also show the motto, as some of the strongest areas are there. Photos below from Coppercoins.com

    It appears to be Machine doubling and is of little or no value. We see many like this. There are estimated about a couple of dozen known, and the chance of one being found is close to the chances of winning a mega lottery with a single ticket twice in a row. I do keep any extreme MDD of these I find as they are very interesting. Jim
