Hello, So I work at a bank on a military base in Japan and the other day I came across 3 $20 bills with stars on them and one of them is a 1969. It is in pretty good condition it has minor wear from being handled. What is something like this worth? And What about the other two notes they are 2004 and 2006 star notes also.
Hajimemash(i)te and Welcome to CT Also check out the Paper Money forum. If you can post scans or photos of your notes that will help us determine condition to assess value. If you tell us what district the 1969C is from we can tell you how many were printed and how scarce the notes may be due to the printage. There are star notes for every district in this Series and price varies, but condition will ultimately determine any numismatic premium. I usually suggest anyone with questions about SNs and value of the notes they are finding in circulation read Heritage Auctions - Reference page. There are many useful reading materials there that are available for free online that can help you answer some of your own questions. Primarily, it will help you get familiar with grading and condition concerns that are important to currency collectors: Currency Grading Tutorial and U.S. Currency Price Guide. I also suggest anyone interested in learning about grades and values, sign up for a free Heritage account. You can track auctions and reference the Auction Archives of past auctions to see what has been sold, prices and the grades those prices realized. eBay Advanced Search also lets you track 'completed auctions' to see what prices have recently been realized. Give it a go.
