1969 S Extra Beard LC?

Hello everybody! Hope all is well!

I've found a 1969 S LC and that appears to have a little bit of an extra beard????
The word States on the reverse is looks really wide to me....

The beard thing is a die chip. The 'STATES' is nothing more than die degradation.

Hi Danielle, It does look like a bit of a goat chin going on..

I was just curious, does your camera have a Macro setting? If not, you can find these relatively cheap and it would allow you to take really good close-up pictures of coins. I use a cheap digital camera w/ macro I got on clearance. It sucks for normal pictures but takes amazing coin shots.

I thought it did too but I know that I better be for sure that's what it actually is before I posted it in a thread on here....I thought it was PMD because it looks scratched....but I researched it and there is one listing out there that looks exactly the same...but I'm still unsure so I just left it alone...

 

all the high tech lights and cameras these people use don't pick up the small things I see in my pictures,
