I stumbled upon a nickel and after inspecting it and doing some research on it, it may be the real deal. I need some opinions and even professional help identifying if it’s not a sham.
You can post a picture here, someone can surely help. I wouldn't get my hopes up too much though, sounds like it could be a filled die or something of the sort. Small errors like this don't really carry a premium.
Nope.. Just damage. We see these all the time. Even on Quarters. It's silly actually. Don't bother with it. The G on GOD might have a vert minor debris in die before strike which makes the G look kind of a C.. or even a hit may alter the G.
Listen carfully.. I have been collecting for over 3 decades and truly know this.. There is no reason at all for the US Mint to change the letter G to a C in GOD. Yours is just simple circulation damage alteration
