I have looked but can't find anythin g. It looks like a date above 1969 and I can ckearly see an 8. And I don't know what is going on with his ear
What type of errors does this coin have. I know its a clash but I do not know about the extra 8. Is that specific. ?and is this common or rare
Im new at this so I might use the proper terms. ...I am seeing images from opposite side..the mint mark almost looks like d/s but likely from clash. I think I see doubling on the 6 and 9 as well as liberty. And call me crazy but the error looks like a face to the right ofLincoln. Ill try to get a better pic.
Sorry but I don't see any type of errors. No Clashes, Doubling, Over Mint Marks.. If you see any type of image it could be a result of decades of wear and tear and toning due to circulation. It' a normal Cent.
You answered your own comment for all of us.. Here is a website that will help you with the many types of Mint Errors and proper Terminology. (I want to share this website with you) - http://www.error-ref.com/
I don't see anything. I think you're trying too hard to find something on a circulated coin that isn't there. Take three aspirin and call me in the morning. Chris
Then I would be questioning your judgemet and your ability to see an actual or maybe my pics aren't clear. I just found these too. But im sure no one else can see it. I started collecting pennys this year and on xmas I gave her an album of all series dating back to 1870 except 1922. I look at pennies to pass the time especially during the holidays because other than minor children, I have personally carried parents siblings ect...to their final resting place.
I don't know what you mean? Are you agreeing or disagreeing with my observations? The other coins.. I also don't see any errors. Believe me, if there were errors you would of heard from many other members who specialize in verification of errors such as I have been doing for many years.. 30 years collecting errors. Sorry about you family problems. This is Cointalk and we try to stick to talk about coins. I myself lost 3 family members this year alone so your not alone. Have a Happy New Year my friend and good luck with your error coin hunting. Take a look at that error website I provided for you it is very helpful!
I was responding to Chadhr's reaction to paddyman98. Specifically I was commenting on the last five coins Chadhr had shown. I found no error in the normal sense but included the comment about cleaning since that plays a big part in assessing a coin's value. I also think it is ill advised to paint a rosy picture of a coin when that would have some one expecting much more than a coin might sell for.
