1969 D dime with very raised edges?

Hello, I have a 1969 D dime with very raised edges? What made it that way? Is it worth anything? In advance thank you for your help?

Ok, I made things a little larger so's folks can get a better view.

 

I'm no expert Alexa, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. It would seem to me the the coin was initially well struck. Others more learned will check in soon.....
