The 1969 S Doubled Die Obverse 1 is probably the second rarest ddo known
after the 1958 ddo 1. Only a few dozen exist. PCGS has certified 2 MS 64 Red

If you have to convince yourself it is the doubled die, then it is not the doubled die.

 

Sorry, no it isn't. memorize the BE in liberty, the multiple overlap makes them easy to see. If you look at the bottom of the 6 in the date of yours, you can see the flattened 'doubled' area that is mechanical doubling or as also called 'strike doubling'.
