found this last night late. just want some opinions on mintmark. to me it appears to have 3 ds. maybe bad eyes

kinda does. you can't see it on pics but there is another what appears to be a d close to the main d .

 

It is that! Nice RPM find! (It's a D/D, which means "D mintmark over D mintmark", not a doubled die)

 

so it is a 001 like furryfrog02 suggests

Yup. I didn't outright say it since I couldn't see the markers over the date. But yeah it looks like a 001 to me.
