    It appears from the photos to be die deterioration damage. The die was used way past its time for minting nice coins.

    Not really sure what info you may be looking for, I do not see any kind off error, and I do agree with Desertgem. When I saw your coin this came to mind.
    1968 was the last year for the expanded design on Lincoln cents.
    The dies for 1969 had a modified design that moved it away from the edge. Compare any 1968 with a 1969 cent and you can notice the change.
