1968D doubled die?

    1968D obv .jpg Can anyoneone give me feedback? It also seem's "IN GOD WE TRUST" is running upinto the rim.

    Could just be a slight Misaligned Obverse Die Strike. I can see a thicker Rim opposite of the area in question. Show us a picture of the Reverse to better determine that.
    Not a Doubled Die.

    Great. The Reverse is aligned perfectly. So the Obverse is misaligned. These are the 2 things to look for in this kind of error. A minor error and fairly common. Thanks for sharing.

    How about the center of that rev? That's not normal wear is it? Some type of struck thru?

    with all the other nicks, scratches, dings and marks I say just some random hit.
