1968 s penny doubled die?

    To quote a line from the movie, Cool Hand Luke, "What we have here is a failure to communicate."

    I think it has gotten to the point where every 68S or 69S that someone finds is thought to be a doubled die whether it is or not.

    It looks like machine doubling, which does not add any value

    Very common occurrence on all "S" minted Lincoln coins from 1968-1974. Both filled mint marks and machine doubling. Not an error.
