    Hi Everyone!
When I say I'm new to this...I mean BRAND NEW. :)
I was cleaning out my mom's library and we found a big tin of coins. So, I'm the typical, I'm gonna strike it rich newbie.

All that being said, I had no idea how hard this is to do. I've been studiously using Wexler's Die Variety Web site pages and have run into an interesting coin.

I have more pics...just wasn't sure which show what may need to be shown.

    Thank you for any information!

here's another one...I'm sure this is post mint, but the way the metal has moved had me wondering. Thank you in advance! I appreciate your time!

You're correct. Like @Heavymetal said, it's post mint damage (PMD). One of the things that you probably noticed is how the scratched metal is raised above the flat field. Many Scratches and gouges will show this displaced metal and that makes it easy to determine that it's post mint

Thank you! I stared at it long and hard but it had such a fluid look to it. I will now be able to sort through that.
