Shown is obverse and close-ups of a 1968-S cent pulled from roll searching. It displays some form of doubling (?), I'm guessing offset hub doubling or pivoted hub doubling, both in a north direction. I would appreciate comment on what you all think it is, hopefully the photos are clear enough. Note the ridge along the N end, through the tops of the letters. Also, Lincoln has an extra chin and nose profile. The only part of the date I see doubling is on the 9. Here a close up of the ridge and offset lettering. LIBERTY shows an upward spread, but even, not rotated from the center.
Looks like mechanical doubling to me because of the flat, shelf-like appearance especially on Lincoln and the T on LIBERTY. Nice photos, by the way!
