There's a lot of excellent information on the minting process and detailed explanations of the different types of genuine varieties on Mr. Wexler's site. And yes... that, unfortunately, appears to be strike doubling.

 

Thank you. I am pretty curious about the entire process within the mint and how the coins are/were produced. Is there a lot of that on there?
