Before someone gives a rude comment, I dont see anything that says this is worth more than a cent. Welcome to the forum.
Welcome to CT. Are there any outstanding features on this coin that made you inquire about it? I am not seeing anything out of the ordinary in the scope of your photos.
Circulation wear.. over time the Cent gets wear and tear from contact with other coins. The edge gets flattened and the letters and edge look closer to each other. I have seen thousands such as yours over the years. Copper is a soft metal that can bend, get smooshed, get crushed, get worn easily. Do you understand a little better?
Yes I see the lettering is on the edge , that just means it was misaligned die strike. A very common occurence.
This is all I see as well. It doesn't add any value. But, it's fun to find little things like this. Welcome to CT!
