    The correct terminology would be Tripled Die.. not triple
    Like Doubled Die

    Where do you see Tripling?

    Machine or ejection doubling. See the shelf? No letter separation.

    Sometimes it really is hard to tell which is which. True Doubled dies can look shelf like and Machine doubling can look the opposite. With machine doubling though, it is caused by bounce of the die when it strikes. This bouncing will shave metal off of the sides of the devices and will make them smaller than the original, as your coin shows. Text book Machine doubling.

    That's a CCW skip. The coin took a bad hop when it was struck.
