1968 D Lincoln Cent

What do y’all think about this one? Be nice. lol. I have several of these but this one with the edge of overlapping some? Etc.

Slightly off-center strike, but probably within tolerance.

A worn hub or die can move devices into the rim.

 

1968 was the last year the mint used the original master die for lincoln cents due to the distortion of the die. A new master die was made and used with the 1969 prodution of coins. Here is a couple of photos of the two years side by side, and the differents is quite obvious. I do agree that your coin was struck with a slightly misaligned die. But that is only part of why it looks the way it does.
