I'm NOT quite sure. It looks ground down to me in my opinion. ;)

Sanded or filed down.... your second to the last photo clearly shows scratches.

And here I thought I found something good. The same color of the coin made me think it was made like that. If it was sanded down and cooper penny down close. I thought it would lose its color. =( Here is another example of another coin I thought that was an error coin but it might be rot/pmd WIN_20220326_23_16_51_Pro.jpg WIN_20220326_23_16_59_Pro.jpg WIN_20220326_23_17_06_Pro.jpg WIN_20220326_23_17_24_Pro.jpg WIN_20220326_23_17_36_Pro.jpg WIN_20220326_23_18_56_Pro.jpg WIN_20220326_23_19_14_Pro.jpg WIN_20220326_23_30_53_Pro.jpg

Ask yourself, how can these occur during the minting process?

You've been here a while and been given a number of links that explain the minting and die making process. Take some time out of your searching to learn something about the processes. You'll end up wasting a lot less time and maybe will find something besides PMD
