    This "affliction" is often called road rash, and there is no cure for it. No amount of treatment will make it go away. :(

    You will see this condition, many worse than your coin and as cpm9ball indicated, road rash is a condition which has no cure. :(

    Welcome @Jessie5, as already noted, it is just a damaged coin. The term is PMD, meaning Post Mint Damage. It happened after the coin left the mint and isn't considered a mint error.
    Looking at your previous posts, it seems your focus is on the U.S. cent. Have you done some research online to learn the minting process? It might be helpful to know exactly how the coins are minted so you can determine the likelihood of an error. Good luck on your hunt.
