I wouldn't say your Lincoln was a Floating Roof variety since the both sides are clearly visible.

I think it needs to be more like this one (not mine) in order to be considered one.

I didn't say anything about the initials. I was talking only about the Floating Roof variety.

Good for you. You can do whatever you want with it... What I mean by spender is that it's not worth any more than face value.. 1 CENT

Jerry, the FG is there. I see it, it's just very faint.

Wear makes things seem to disappear.

The left side roof support is plainly visible. The right side roof support is simply more worn than the other.

Jerry, you're experiencing what happens when you search worn coins. Things look like what they are not.

Most numismatically important things have been found on coins that have much less wear and/or damage on them.

When I search pennies and find a damaged coin, I only look at whether it's copper or zinc. Copper pennies go in the "save for copper content" bin and the zinc coins go in the " roll 'em and spend 'em " bin.

BTW, please trust paddyman, he is MUCH, MUCH more experienced than either of us.

Thanks for posting and Welcome to Coin Talk !!

Jerry, I still see it, very, very faintly.
And in this new pic you can PLAINLY see the right side support for the non-floating roof.

This coin is very worn, Jerry. This is what happens when you search worn and damaged coins.

    Sorry, Jerry.
