    Hi,

I found this coin and i think it is a clashed die error but i'm not sure. Maybe someone know what is it exactly. On the right side of the third picture, there are two fine lines in the shape.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Nobody know if it is a clashed die or not?

Maybe you know why there are 2 little lines on the left side of the eagle or what it cause it.

    Thanks.

I just can't tell anything from the photos. One way to possibly prove it is, is it possible to determine what part of the obverse die could cause those marks if the dies did clash?

    Hi,

It's probably near the nose and the back of the head as you can see on the picture. There is a mark on the nose... it's maybe the cause of this error. Plus, there are lot of little black dots (in line...). Some part look like doubling... but i'm not sure.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Do you know if this error is common or not?

    Many thanks.

Though I'm not a quarter guy, I can tell you that with Lincolns minor clashes like this are common and do not command a premium.

    Hi,

I try to search something like that on the net and i don't find it. If someone have a picture of clashed die with couple double lines (and some doubling and probably straight lines of carbon spots), i will be happy to see it because i'm not a specialist of American Quarter. I saw it on couple of penny but not on a quarter.

    Thanks Jallengomez.
