Please post your pictures as you did in your other thread. The format you are using is bad.

No need for a poll. Especially when it makes no sense.

 You still did it wrong. Just for you to know. Members here don't like to open links for the risk of getting a virus.. Upload your pictures using the CoinTalk upload feature. Just like you did with the gold colored quarter!

Looking at your pictures (I opened the file link) that Dime looks like an ordinary circulation coin.

For future reference, don't call it a "1966 no mint mark dime" - while it might be technically correct, it makes you sound like one of those YouTube Idiots who have people chasing unicorns. Just "1966 dime" - makes you one of the cool kids.

    FTR:

All coins minted in Philadelphia (the first mint) were unmarked until the silver war nickels in 1942-1945. Subsequently, the mint started putting P on coins with the 1979 Susan B. Anthony dollar and then in 1980 for nickels and above.

The P on the cent in 2017 was a one year special for the 225th anniversary of the mint.

I have not consulted my Red Book, but I believe the first year of clad coinage, 1965, as well as ‘66 and ‘67, all 3 mints produced dimes with no mint mark. This was done to thwart collectors who were blamed for a coin shortage, and yes, the idea originated from the top Mint yuckity-muck who hated the hobby...Spark

@Spark1951 correct... The law was changed to allow it (and then changed back).

Little known is the same change allowed the mint to continue strikeing silver 1964 coins into 1965...

All done to prevent starving commerce (remember the credit card was new, rare and mostly travel & entertainment - Diners Club in 1950, Amex in 1958)
