Check out this 1966 Kennedy DDO. The strongest doubling I can find is in the upper tips of the 'W' and 'U'. I have not seen many of these. Has anyone else come across one?

    Hi,

Nice Find and check the profile. Some 1966 Kennedy DDOs have the doubling on the motto as well as there being doubling of the profile especially around the contour of the chin.

    Have Fun,
    Bill

Here is one I found. It may be from the same die?

You guys should use the CONECA listings to attribute your Kennedy Half Dollars…the CP Guide is just about worthless for Kennedy’s.

Coop’s half dollar would be a 66 BS DDO-005, you could verify that by looking at the obverse and reverse markers listed in CONECA’s Master Listings (see attached photos).
Obverse marker would be…light but thick die scratch southwest from upper first T of TRUST. Reverse marker would be a die scratch from arrowheads to A of DOLLAR.

Blginatl’s half dollar does appear to be the same die (not a very good photo)…he could verify it by using the markers and the doubling on the chin or GOD (see attached photo).

atrox001: You are correct the die scratches on the OBV & REV are still faintly there. Thanks. You might like to include the address line so others could also find that site quicker. I know I would use it also. I have a few others to look up as well.
