I know I don't have a photo available, this cheap Walmart phone will not take clear pictures, working on getting a better phone. Is it possible for a dime to be minted that looks like it's been sandblasted? I do not think an individual sandblasted this but it seems very unfeasible that it came from the mint like this. There are no marks on the face or reverse or on edges that show where it might have been in a vice. the coin is in very good condition for a 1966 coin. I would say at least an au 58. 1966 dimes are pretty much worth a dime, but could this ad any kind of value to the coin? The sandblasting look is over the entire reverse and obverse covering every part. Greatly appreciate all your help.
No it did not occur at the Mint. I have seen many Dimes such as yours. I metal detected qnd many D itimes I find at the beach in the sand that have been tumbling around for many years have the look you have described. It is not a Mint Error.
