Wondering what folks think of of this one.. SMS or normal business strike. Also, what about condition/grade. Thanks in advance
It does look like an SMS Jefferson, from a 65 SMS set. I don't see any wear, but the lighting is rather dark to tell for sure.
Probably SMS...either that, or one of the most lustrous and proof-like modern-day Jeff's I've seen!! Normally I would recommend checking the edges (proofs' edges are razor sharp) but I'm not sure if SMS coins were minted in a similar manner to proofs.
I can't tell for sure either, I figure it is SMS but in looking at NGC's site, they really haven't done much in the year I've been a member with making their coin explorer section any better. Other comments?
