1965 Washington quarter. Help me out, look at Washington's ear is that doubled? I don't think there is any 1965 with a DD ear. Looks like a curls underneath possibly a hit. And what's at the bottom of the bus looks like separation but it continues all the way down almost to the end thanks people

Morgandude11 As long as it's Silver, I'm listening

No, it isn’t. The coin just has post-mint damage.

Thanks everybody I thought it was a hit below the ear because the surrounding marks looks like that too

57 years of continuous damage and use over time creates dings, nicks, etc which all may be unrelated to each other. Thus surrounding marks probably have no correlation to another mark.

Think of how many people have handled that quarter, scratched it. Put it in their pocket with other change which could have nicked it, etc. used it to scratch off lottery tickets, or paint on some metal ... who knows.

Sometime between 65' and now, it took a serious hit to the ear area. Arguably it happened a lot closer to 65' then now.
