1965 raised dime?

    What do you think about this? I have so many questions now that I found you. I figure start with my wierdest stuff. Thank guys

    Welcome to the forum. It looks like the remains of a "pin backing" with the pivot being at the top and the retainer at the bottom. Or else a practice piece for someone to try and install one, as I can not think of a reason for someone to use a common date dime that must have another meaning. I think it is just post mint damage, as it didn't occur in minting.
