1965 dime question

    Is this dime this way because someone messed it up, or is this typical with a clad layer missing?

    Agree.. Environmental Damage
    Dirt, soil, beach sand can affect the surface.
    Looks like short exposure. Any longer and it would turn a darker color..
    These were top finds but the elements started to affect them

    Clad layer missing is generally 1 side only.
    Plus you can weigh it. Yours is the other ED.
