I have a 1965 Roosevelt dime. It has no mint mark. Is that normal. I thought all dimes had a mintmark.

From 1965 to 1967 they eliminated the mint mark on dimes and quarters.
Apparently this was so people would not hoard the coins.

No mintmark usually means Philadelphia. The P mintmark for Philadelphia wasn't added to the dime (and all other denominations except the cent) until 1979.

Hi and welcome to CoinTalk. There are many knowledgeable people here but also many "newbies" asking naïve questions so often that many of our members get frustrated. Don't get put-off and keep asking. The "P" mintmark is interesting. It normally did not occur on coins I think until the silver "war nickels" during WWII where it was above Monticello. It then disappeared from coins until in 1979 it started appearing on some. No mint mark usually means Philadelphia.
