This post is in reference to the requests for additional pics. It was painstaking and I could maybe have done a bit better but I am dealing with broken arm, so its been challenging. Hope the new pics help. There seems to be diverse opinions about what is or is not components of this coin. Understandably so when one considers not having the coin in hand to examine with closer, clearer scrutiny. And so it is with our enjoyment with the objects of our affection. Thank you all for your input, and I can say although there are opposing opinions, as well as supporting opinions to favor maybe, at this point, a mere hope that there is something beyond face value with our endeavors. In any case, the coin is remarkable because many of you have remarked on it. So, if all else falters away like die deterioration itself, at least the coin will remain
You have multiple pics of the date: My question in regards to that is, what in particular is it that you see involving the numbers, individually and/or collectively, especially since you have the coin in hand? As I mentioned previously, there may (and I would stress the "may") be some evidence of true doubling on the reverse, but I'm missing what you are seeing re "1965". Thanks and . . . Semper Fidelis
