Both are nice catches by them selves but to have a full Hornets nest and that date anomaly is a nice two-fer Reed
How refreshing to to see photos of an actual 'error' coin. Die chips in general aren't rare but they're fun to look at, and can have unusual shapes sometimes...
Thanks for the comments, but I am sorely disappointed as I expected to log on and find a flurry of comments about the missing mint mark. My Dr. Strangelove finger went for the D out of reflex and this is actually a Philly. I did not know the reverse die chip was called a hornets nest, makes sense and I learn something new everyday. Thanks.
Remember Nolan The Lincoln Memorial ONLY has Hornets. Monticello on the other hand ONLY has bees! The two never mix. Reed.
You gentlemen give the best links. Thanks. I am searching nickels, looking for my first Buffalo Chip.
