1965 5c "Weakly Struck" (NGC)

    Not a bad pick up for $15. Someone paid $31 plus shipping just to get this slabbed. Too bad it didn't list the weight. (Anyone know what this slab weighs exactly from this generation holder?)

    So, is it a weak strike simply from the die pressure and nothing else? How come they didn't grade it if they grade other weak strikes?

    I have seen some high prices on these lately, I am nor gonna pay them, but someone might. They are a cool add to the collection. ANACS calls them "die adjustment strikes".

    Because it is in an older slab. They decided to add grades later. NGC goes back many years so they changed a few things over time.
