    Are you saying you can see the copper core? 1965 was the year they stopped minting silver Quarters and the clad composition started. You can see the layers.
    If you are referring to that there is no reeded egde then that is because of the amount of years it's been in circulation. The edge tends to wear away.

    The '82 is pretty nice and might bring a buck or two.

    These are easier to sell with good luster on them. They will retail about $15 and are tough enough to find that there is a wholesale market.

    XF's are less difficult to find.

    The '70-D & 65 have some reverse varieties that are more valuable but they are scarce.
