1964D rr rim nickel

i think i've got a keeper now!
went to the grocery store today to dump about 1500 pennies, i had gone thru, in their coin machine for a voucher. another person came up with $58.50 in rolled pennies, nickels and dimes so i ask if she would like cash for them. long story short, i think i will hang out at coin machines and buy rolls. got some spiffy stuff so far today and only half way through them.

That thing extends out quite a bit, I don't know what else you'd call it. I'd say yes.

 

Sure is an oddity from what I've seen. Definitely a keeper.

 

It looks like the raised part is on both sides and the indent is in the middle of the edge. The die collar is wider than that, so I think this coin may have been machined (post strike).
