1964 no mint nickel odd hole damage

    hey everyone! I found another intriguing coin when cleaning today. I cannot find a consensus on if this is rare or valuable or not but I did read into the history of the pre 1965 nickels. So interesting!

    There is obvious damage but again I have such a hard time figuring out if it’s post damage or not.

    After 54 years in circulation I don't think there will ever be any definitive answer.

    As @tommyc03 .Stated who knows but your coin appears to be PMD.

    It's just a damaged coin.

    It looks like PMD to me. The 1964 Jefferson nickel has such a high mintage that it cannot even come close to being rare. There are a few things to look out for on a '64 Jefferson, I don't have my list on me but I"m sure others can help out!
