I've seen this before but I'm having a "Senior moment". Can anyone ID this Doubling??? Thanks for your patience and responses.
Die deterioration Sal look at the fields....thats called orange peel effect. Goes hand in hand with the die breaking down. Also 1964 had one of the largest mintages in the history of the United states across the boards...from cents to half dollars.... and they banged those dies until they busted.
Here is a 1930 that has the whizzed effect on both obverse and reverse. Makes me think it was not the die in this case.
