Does the 1964 kennedy proof have an "S" mint mark to designate that its a proof? I saw a franklin proof the other day and it didn't have an S mint mark. So that got me to thinking about the very first 1964 half I found. Its shiny like a proof, but doesn't have the "S" mint mark.

Nope---the Franklins and 1964 Kennedys don't have the S....1968 was the first year for the Half to have the S mintmark.

heres a couple scans. Is there any way to tell if its a proof other than the shine? The brown spots on the front look like thats where a cellophame wrapper or something has been touching it for a while. You can't see the shine on the front or reverse in the scans.
