1964 Kennedy half

Does anyone know what this is and can it be taken out of this case thing or will it ruin the coin thank you

It's a Capital style holder, just unscrew the four fasteners at each corner and it should open up easily.

 

What's capital like one of those mint companies like Morgan and Littleton like those people that put those together or whatever

 

Capital is the company that made the holder. I don’t see any indication of who put the coin in the holder.

 

They are a plastics company that got into the business of making coin holders many years ago.

I would leave it in the capitol holder unless you want to take some photos or want to see it better. It's a good holder.

 

Those holders was excelent. I still have coins put in those holders even before this date and never deteriorate inside.

 

I believe that they were made from plexiglass in early productions. but the cost was several times the flexible flips which eventually won out.

 

Capital holders are good holders. Anyone can buy and use them. I would leave it as is.
