This is beautifully toned and has strong doubling on the reverse. I am going to have this graded but any ideas for value? One of my favorites.
Sorry but that's machine doubling on the reverse and an AU coin. No need to grade it just put it in a 2x2 and enjoy it.
I'm not much of an error collector, so I don't know, but my first instinct was also that it is just machine doubling.
You’ve been a member for over 14 months…you should know what MD is by now. And, you should be able to assess the wear state and realize that at AU, it is not worth sending in for grading. By all means, if this coin has special meaning to you, like you got it from a beloved family member, then send it in to be slabbed. Just don’t fool yourself and spend money for the wrong reason.
Quite possibly I don't get a lot of time to know much yet. Why didn't you just roll your eyes and keep moving?
By the way, Meow was wondering about the hair types of the 1964 Kennedy. Would someone have a good link for a Cat to glean?
Because sending to TPGs is not cheap. Also, I see you posting with the same mistakes. We’re here to help you learn, so we tell you when you make the wrong assumptions. Yes, of course, it is just my opinion, but I do want you to be a better collector.
Here is another. http://varietyvista.com/12 Kennedy Halves/Obverse Design Varieties.htm. Both Obverse and reverse design variety's can be found on the home page of Kennedy half's in VV.
I'm nine years older than dirt and I'm still learning there is nothing wrong with admitting it. Thanks for your question and good luck.
I've been a member for 11 years and still have enough trouble that I have to ask sometimes...of course I'm 77 this year...
Well to keep this perspective, My Grandpa was 4 days older than dirt I am not sure how old that makes Doug @GDJMSP
