Ok I've had this kennedy that sticks out like a sore thumb in a lineup of 100 other kennedy half dollars. It has a muted soft finish - satin like. After reading the recent thread about an SMS '64, it got me thinking and so I went and grabbed it to take photos. My photos suck to I apologize but it's all I could do in the fading light of day; using a lamp never works for me. Anyway - any guesses as to what is going on with this coin? Perhaps the photos won't do it justice but are there satin finish 1964 kennedys? This one just jumps out like I said. I figured let the pros get a look at it. I can take additional or different photos if anyone thinks its necessary to tell me this is anything other than your typical 1964 kennedy - especially given my blurry reverse photo Thanks
IIRC, the characteristics of the 1964 SMS Kennedy is a very strong detailed strike, heavy die polishing, and non reflective surfaces. Your coin appears to have reflective prooflike surfaces.
