1964 Half Dollar

    Found this at an estate sale but am doubtful/curious as to its grade. I paid $15 and was hoping to have more experienced eyes take a look and offer some insight. Thanks!

    I would say its AU, i like the toning.

    15 seems a little high. I'd have been happier at $10 or $12, but at least there's $8 worth of silver in it, so you didn't pay a truly insane amount. BTW, that coin is NOT a MS68 by any means.

    Also: flatten those staples so you don't accidentally scratch another coin with them. :)

    It's worth the value of silver. $6 or $7.

    Au It has some friction on the cheek. Straight on pics would help.

    Whoops, yeah, you're right. Current melt is $6.37. I don't know where I got $8 from. :)

    I'd need better photos taken from directly overhead, but there is no way that it is MS68. You paid too much.

  9. I don't see any ware on it nice color, I's say an MS-63, but better photo's are needed.
