Hi again, Another find at the coin club auction was this 1964 MS63 dime where the C&A of America are joined. Anything soecial, or, a very minor thing? Thanks!
My 1964 — found in a CoinStar reject bin — has the identical placement of the C&A, though mine is not MS63.
Once again, this is mechanical doubling or machine doubling. It has created an effect where the two letters look joined, and possibly are but not a doubled die. Notice the dot next to it has the same effect.
USA Coin Book shows the C&A touching on the 1964. https://www.usacoinbook.com/us-coins/1964-roosevelt-dime.jpg It is also showing a doubled die reverse on the 1964-D https://www.usacoinbook.com/coins/1601/dimes/roosevelt/1964-D/doubled-die-reverse/ Only yours looks like MD to me.
