You may hate machine doubling, but we should be appreciate it because we understood that DDO/DDR is a really beauty coin. However, despite on people's point of view on machine doubling. Severe machine doubling are beauty as well, but its harder to find them.

Important to understand different between Double Die and Machine Doubling. Basically, machine doubling push off letters or dates instead of double die that created another letters or dates.

Severe machine doubling mean strike has push off letters or dates more extreme than normal as your coin. I have some, but they are in storage. I found an example from google image that give us a better idea of severe machine doubling.

It's a subjective on value for those coins. The best source to find common value for machine doubling would be ebay's "Sold Listings". As far as I know, there is no official numismatic value for machine doubling because there are small numbers of collectors who actually collecting machine doubling.

Do you just mean "severe" (as in extreme) mechanical doubling? I have never heard the phrase "severed machine doubling".

You are right, I didn't realized that its a big different between severe and severed. Yes, severe is what I meant. Thanks.

Charles1997: I don't buy them, but I do save severe machine doubling from search rolls and mint sets.
