    Hello,
Does anyone know how rare the 1964 D over D or repunched mint mark is? I was looking through a roll of quarters i have and found 6 of them in the roll. I will post a pic if a few of them any help would be appreciated. The first picture does not show it real well but it is a D D D (triple D stamp).
    Thanks again,
    Ben

I don't know how rare it is but that is a :kewl: cool find.

I looked in my Breens book and he doesn't list it...
    I agree....it looks like D/D/D...

    Hi,
I always hate to be the one that does this. But...These are mechanically doubled mintmarks. They don't have the characteristics of being RPMs.

    Hi,
This is what a D over D looks like on a 1964 D quarter. Note the separation of the "D"s.
    Have Fun,

    Hi,
Hard to tell in the scan since depth is not easy to determine. I would need to see this one first hand to be sure.
    Thanks,
    Bill
