I may have a new discovery I've done all the research I know the1964 sms\proof Have no mint mark the field is polished the igwt is crisp liberty is crisp and alligned and the rim sharp and square the press is bold and robust the usoa is further from the rim the fields have a cart wheel effect this cent has all the attribrutes all though I mite have a 1964 proof planchet with a d mint mark is that at all possible it was a traditional year and there were many errors there was a lot of trials going on
I bet everything i love this lincoln cent is not a business strike if it isnt a sms then wrong planchet
I have seen many 1960's Cents that look like yours. They sure do look nice but they are simple Business Strikes
Looks like a decent business strike. Each mint made their own planchets so a SMS or Proof planchet would not be at the Denver mint. SMS planchets were made in San Francisco in 1965 while 1964 cents were probably still being made, but unlike today rejected planchets would not have been sent to Denver to make business strikes because San Francisco was striking their own business strikes. No reason to ship planchets to Denver. In 1964 any proof or sms planchets would have been in Philadelphia. Once again no reason to ship planchets to Denver.
Heres q pcgs proof under a hd pic im usein my phone in peraon the atrike is Exaclty the same and color ands texture the rim is the same
