    Okay, trying to make sure I understand; what would be be cracked on the die for metal to flow into - the die rim? The date and mintmark look good so if the die had a crack the size of this blob, wouldn't the metal be thicker and overrun the points on the 4?

    I don't see the break on the rim which would make it a cud.
