    Got this in change out of a machine today, the 4 caught my eye. Here it is at 10x in my QX5.

    Does that notch in the end of the crossbar of the 4 go all the way through ? I'm asking because it looks like damage to me.

    The notch does go all the way through, the best I can tell. I've been trying to get a better image, I'll have to try again tomorrow. Still trying to figure out the best way to set the light at 200x, not to mention trying to find a happy medium on the depth of field.

    Mikjo, thanks. I really wish my 09-VDB didn't have the fingerprint on it, but it's the only one I have. I still like the avatar, nonetheless, myself. I may try to get a better shot of it with my Coolpix 5700.
