Looking thru a roll of pre 65 dimes and I came across this 1964-D. I notice doubling on the mint mark and the rim looks off. I have is a 40x loupe and a strained eyeball(lesson learned), so I can't see whether or not additional doubling exist. Would a double mm constitute a DDR coin? 20180427_223129.jpg 20180427_222957.jpg

I also found a 1954-D dime with the same doubling on the mm. Maybe I need to get a better microscope? 20180427_225712.jpg 20180427_225748.jpg 20180427_225935.jpg

The first dime has an issue that is called a Misaligned Die Strike on the Obverse

The second Dime Mint Mark looks like it is caused by Die Deterioration.

i thought when you see a shelf like that, it's die boucne or something similar. In any case, the mint marks dont look like genuine doubling

Ok, thanks ya'll. Would this perhaps be a good example of poor man's doubling on the second coin?
