I found this in a roll a few minutes ago this is a really nice coin I can't believe a man even find a coin this old. If you guys don't care would you really check this coin out all the letters are a lot bigger than most I've seen it looks like it has some doubling in it I could be wrong what do you think this think it would grade picture don't give it no justice than the shinny red the pictures are kind of dark. This thing is so shiny and red it will hurt your eyes I don't think I have any this red front and back there is no damage to the coin what so ever I'm telling you I think I am looking at a 65 or better.
I done the best I could do on the pictures nobody may not look at it it may not be good enough I don't know I posted one earlier and not one person has said anything about it what so ever come on paddy man I know you are out there Mr Q collection nut I know you guys can read these coins but if you don't want to respond that is all right to I have to move on I'm a collector I injoy this hobby
I don't know Bentley.....Yes, for a 1963 it looks really good. I'm not good at grading, but I see a lot of marks ("chatter")in front of Lincoln's face, And on the reverse I see what looks like marks running from SE to NW across the whole coin. It almost looks like E PLURIBUS UNUM is being blown away. It may just be the magnification making things more obvious. I don't think the grading costs would be worth getting it graded, the value afterwards would not be more then the costs to grade it. That is just my opinion. Wait for others with more experience to offer opinions,
Bentley, I believe a grading service would say it is slightly circulated due to the surfaces and what appearslike a small amount of wear on the lapels and cheekbone Jim
It's certainly interesting how you came upon such a shiny 58 year old cent. Well done! As for grade...I'm thinking MS61-MS62. The good news is...I'm often wrong.
Thanks guys you really are to see it in person I don't know what the deal is with my camera. But it ant even close to what it really looks like yeah there a scratch here and there but no you are right on the back got lines. There is lines run all the way through the E Pluribus Unum but man this thing is so red and shinny it's crazy I saw it come out of the roll I was like hek yeah. Were I went to day to pick up a bunch of coins I have a lot of luck on good grade coins.
I think there is rnough contact on that one to say AU. But a great find from a roll. Here is one that came out of a 50$ mint bag. These years were known for being baggy, weak struck and iffy on the luster.
Yeah that is a nice coin I didn't know they had problem having nice mint coins that makes mine and yours look good. I love Year that had problem getting a good grade and then find a least a 65 or higher. This place I went today for some reason I get some old mint coins not really getting that much today I am getting some high grade on 2000 pennies but I think they made these buy the bucket load. But thanks for showing me the picture I want lie I love mine it was worth the hole Trip I done have it in a 2x2 I don't want it to get a nother scratch or stuff off my fingers I don't never hold the inside the coin I hold the edge but that coin I found I got it in front of me it's crazy the difference than the other coins around it like I said the picture don't look nothing like the coin it will hurt your eyes it is so red and shinny the pictures I don't even know that is that coin the way it really look you guys would probably say even more about it and the grade might go up a little bit more but thanks.
