I picked up a roll of 1963 dimes a few days ago with some other bullion. I bought them as bullion and did not realize they were uncirculated until last night.

Every one of these coins looks beautiful and like they just came from the mint.

I kind of hate to just sit on them for silver when I know someone out there would rather have the roll of shiny coins, but I am really not sure what they would be worth.

    So, what are they worth?

What would YOU do with them?

What would be the best way to sell them if they are worth substantially more than spot? Sell the roll or individually?

I will get some pic's up in a few minutes.

Are you sure they have not been cleaned to look that shiny? July coin values is at $4.50 in MS 60. Selling by the roll would probably get the bullion folks looking at them. Selling individually might attract more numismati, numismatists (what is the proper plural usage). PM sent.

I don't think these have been cleaned.

The photo's really showed up the damage to some of the coins that I could not see. Then again, maybe I need glasses :)

The family photographer is out of town this week, so my pic's will have to do for now....

Is that the best one of the roll? I wouldn't slabb that one, just a guess but $3-$5 for that one, pic isn't the best though. If you can get an MS 66 out of the roll then you might have much more. Good deal for bullion value.

MS 63 I say for that one, too mnay dings keeping it from MS 64, In all honesty, how much silver is in a roll?? is it even worth it?
I would hold onto it, keep it for 50 years, its only costing you like 10 bucks or something right? keep it

Honestly, I don't know if it's the best in the roll or the worst. These were on TOP of the roll :)

I have not laid all of them out for close inspections. Actually I did not see these imperfections untill after I took the photo's. All I have is a cheap, $4 magnifying glass from Wal-Mart and my eye's are not the greatest.

I didn't give but about $45 for the roll and figured if I could flip them for enough profit to pick up another oz or two of silver, I might would do that.

I appreciate y'all taking the time to check them out for me. I will see what the rest of them look like.

I have been able to grab many unc coins out of junk silver recently, including proof Franklins.

So, that said, unless you have a buyer for them (think eBay) not much added value currently.
If the dealers can't sell them, well... think about it.
Still, a nice rescue from the melting pot.
